Introduction
- Lanherne is a two storey Grade 2 listed cottage built of Cornish stone. It is located on a public footpath which runs between Crantock Church and the Cornishman Public House on Langurroc Road in the heart of the village. There is vehicular access to the site and car parking adjacent to the garden gate.
- Extensive website with photographs of all the rooms
- Bookings/enquiries can be made directly from the website via email, by telephone or by letter.
- Written directions to the cottage are sent when the final balance is paid. The website contains a link to Google maps, showing the location of the cottage, under the Location tab.
- The nearest bus stop is in the centre of the village, about 200m from the front door with routes into Newquay and Truro.
- The nearest railway station is in Newquay which is about 4 miles from Crantock.
- Public toilet facilities are available on Water Lane opposite the entrance to the Cosy Nook Tea Garden, and include a disabled toilet.
- Car parking space for one car is available off the public footpath in front of the garage at the end of the front garden.
- The concrete surface denotes the parking area and is slightly uneven.
- There is a step down 22cms from the footpath, through the garden gate onto the garden path leading up to the front door.
- There is a trolley available in the understairs cupboard for carrying luggage.
Entrance
- The path from the parking area to the cottage door is approx 13.14m and is slightly uneven
- There is a light outside the cottage.
- There are two steps up to the front door measuring 14cms and 16cms.
- The front door measures 90cm wide with the hinge on the right and the lock at 120cms.
- The front door opens into the lounge area. There is a light switch on the left hand side wall.
- There is a tiled area at the front door, leading to the staircase directly in front of the door, and a carpeted area in the lounge on the left.
- There is a “Welcome Pack” which has details about the cottage within it. This is a burgundy leather file on the dining table in the dining room.
- The floor covering is carpet; there is a rug in front of the fire.
- The lounge has two two seater sofas, seat at 46cms high, and two upholstered armchairs at 46cms high. One armchair is a recliner. The window seat is 56cms high.
- There are side tables adjacent to one sofa and the recliner and a central coffee table.
- The TV and DVD have remote controls.
- There is a smoke detector.
Dining Room
- The door leading from the lounge into the kitchen/dining room is 66cms wide with 170cms headroom.
- There is a step up from the lounge into the dining room 10cms high onto a carpeted area.
- The rectangular table is 90cms wide x 150cms long x 80cms high. The table will expand.
- There are six dining chairs with wooden seats at 48cms high.
- Chairs around four sides of the table.
- Central electric ceiling light over the table.
- Window seat is 53cms high.
- There is a step up 15cms from the dining room into the kitchen area.
- The flooring is Cornish slate.
- The work surface is 92cm high and 60cm deep.
- The sink and the electric cooker are at 92cm high. Above the cooker is an extractor unit at 48cm above the cooker.
- The oven door grill is 73cm high and the oven door shelf is adjustable
- A microwave is available
- Cordless kettle.
- Crockery, glasses and cups etc are in the wall cupboards and can be moved to a lower level.
- The fridge is under the work surface, the highest shelf being 47cm.
- The taps are quarter turn twist taps.
